The Virginia Commonwealth University Office of Health Equity had an existing web presence within the university’s Terminalfour content management system, but its homepage was falling flat and failing to tell the story of the office’s work to address health inequities.

Strategize
The Virginia Commonwealth University Office of Health Equity provides training, research and patient services to connect VCU’s talent and expertise with the community to address health disparities. The office had a limited budget and wanted to focus on breathing new life into an existing mission: Teamwork, Fairness, Equity: working together so everyone can reach their full health potential.

Design
Our design team focused on new content block treatments for the office’s homepage, including a new way to represent online training modules and storytelling elements to showcase the office’s mission through key audiences.

Development
Working within VCU’s Terminalfour content management system, new content blocks were built for news, events, a video feed and storytelling. A key feature was a new treatment to bring online course modules up to the homepage.
